Warren Attends In Chelsea, Calls Into More Than 100 Other Parties
Grassroots Organizers Host Events to Introduce Friends to Elizabeth
More than 2,000 people expected to participate
BOSTON, MA -- Supporters of consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren will gather tonight (12/3) at house parties across Massachusetts, with Warren in Chelsea, from where she will talk with supporters at more than 100 similar events via conference call.
“People all across our commonwealth are coming together to be part of this grassroots campaign,” said Warren. “Our supporters are talking to their friends, their families, and their neighbors about what’s important to them, and about our fight to get Washington working for middle class families. These parties are an important opportunity to reach out to people and invite them to join us in this campaign.”
Warren will be attending a house party in Chelsea where she will talk with all the parties via conference call. The parties are expected to gather more than 2,000 people from Worcester to Gloucester, and from the Berkshires to the Cape.
“These events will be the engine that drives our grassroots movement,” said Matthew Patton, Field Director for the campaign. “The gatherings are an important opportunity for people to learn more about Elizabeth and our campaign.”
Today's gatherings follow a series of meetings Elizabeth has hosted across Massachusetts aimed at organizing the more than 5,000 people who have signed up to volunteer on the campaign through www.elizabethwarren.com.
More than 1,000 volunteers crowded the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury and hundreds of others attended meetings in Framingham, Springfield, Brockton, Pittsfield, Yarmouth, Lowell, and Worcester to support her grassroots campaign to take her fight for Massachusetts middle class families to the U.S. Senate.
