Warren Campaign Kicks off Women for Warren Week

Somerville, MA – The Elizabeth Warren for Massachusetts campaign today kicked off "Women for Warren" Week with grassroots organizing events across the Commonwealth. With women's health care and economic security at stake in this election, grassroots canvassing and phone banks will bring women across Massachusetts together to support Democratic candidate and consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren for the U.S. Senate.

"There are critical issues on the line in this election for the women of Massachusetts," said Warren. "Scott Brown and his fellow Republicans have threatened women's access to birth control and the right to equal pay for equal work. I can't believe we're still having those debates in 2012. I'm going to stand with women and fight for fair pay and access to health care."

Warren recently announced the launch of the "Women for Warren" grassroots organization, and this week will highlight the clear choice in this election on issues affecting women and families across the Commonwealth. Women for Warren phone banks and canvassing events throughout Massachusetts will engage women in one-on-one conversations about what's at stake in this election, to help ensure that their voices are heard and their votes count in this election.
